Bandar Seri Begawan - The body of popular veteran actor Hj Rais bin Banih, also known as Liau Badar, was found yesterday at Batu Panjang, Kolam Besar in Jerudong. The Marine Police found the body at around 6.15pm close to where his boat was found last Sunday.
The 74-year-old, who went out fishing, was reported missing Sunday when his boat and fishing net were found at the beach.
A massive search ensued involving many agencies. Even a helicopter was pressed into service to conduct an aerial search.
The body was brought onshore for a forensic examination before being transported to RIPAS Hospital where doctors confirmed that the senior citizen passed away due to drowning.
